Cat Lovers and Happy Endings

Wow! I never knew how much work it was to get ready for an auction! We have been steadily preparing for months now. Items keep coming in just as we near having everything catalogued. I cannot thank those who have contributed enough! Your generous donations will keep our feline friends warm and keep their bellies full.

Everyone is invited to the auction - Saturday, November 17th - at the Knights of Columbus, 3200 South 103rd Street. Viewing starts at 2:30 & the auction begins at 3:30! Bring your friends! - it is the opening of deer hunting and while the men are away - the girls can shop! 

We have made some really cool gift baskets - seashore theme, wine theme, sunflower, teddy bears, cat lovers, dog lovers, and many Christmas themed baskets.  We will have lots to choose from for Christmas gifts for your kids, friends, and other family members - OR - just fun things for yourself! We will have gift certificates and tons of live auction items!!! Why pay retail when you can get your Christmas shopping done, get a good deal, and help a very worthy cause! 

Any cat that was adopted from Happy Endings can always come back to Happy Endings. Ricky's owner needed to go into the nursing home - and he is now back with us. He loves to be petted and is playful for a 10 year old cat. He was born in October of 1997. He is neutered. He is a large short hair - black and white. With the economy the way it is and foreclosures increasing - we have received many requests from people who want to surrender their cats. My cat of the week is Maddie. She was left at our front door in a carrier with a note stating her name and age - 10 years old. It never ceases to amaze me at what people will do in desperation. She is absolutely beautiful! I have never seen a cat so purely white - and the eyes - oh the green eyes. She is very friendly and loves to be petted. We are open Thursday evenings 6-9, and Saturdays 11-4.

Vinny is the cat of the week. He is a beautiful domestic long-haired gray male. He would do best in a home without young children. He is 6 years old and has been declawed. He is so gentle and sweet. He loves to be petted (not necessarily picked up - but I pick him up and hold him over my shoulder). He has beautiful eyes. Although we try not to have favorites in the shelter - I just love him and would love to find him a good home.
