Tonight’s episode of Lost is titled “Cabin Fever.”

Before I go there though, I want to bring you one screen shot from last week's episode.

I dont know if any of you noticed the peculiar picture hanging in Kate's home when she and Jack were together there.  But it was of a man in the ocean. 

Could this be a painting of Christian Shepard?  And, if so, why?

Locke finds out where Jacob’s cabin is; life on the freighter becomes dangerous.

From places I visited on the web, it appears that we will return to Locke’s childhood, perhaps from birth (there will be some scenes in a maternity ward of a hospital ), but definitely to school-age.  He had once mentioned he had a hard time in his childhood, and here will be a scene of a boy being bullied at school.

So it looks like Ben, Locke, and the cowardly lion — er, I mean Hurley — will finally get that Whaddawedonow? meeting with Jacob, the great and terrible Oz of the Island. Maybe the temporally challenged hillbilly will explain why his haunted shack keeps wandering away like a lollipop-dazzled child at a theme park. Maybe the petulant poltergeist will explain why the ghost of Christian Shephard was rocking in his chair in the season premiere. Hell, maybe Jacob will explain just who the Boone Hill he is — or THINKS he is. • In Claire's dream, Locke appears with one white eye, one black. ("Raised by Another")
• Jack diagnoses Sawyer's headaches as a symptom of far-sightedness. ("Deus Ex Machina") From then on, Sawyer wears glasses whenever he reads.
• A glass eye is found in the Arrow. ("The Other 48 Days")
• When the blast door map is revealed during the lockdown incident, Locke's eye is shown with the map reflected in it. ("Lockdown")
• The cartoon that that is being shown to Jack at the Hydra station features a set of large eyes. ("Every Man for Himself")
• Many images of eyes and round objects (including a Nazar Boncuğu) are found in the video Karl was watching in Room 23 ("Not in Portland")
• In the Looking Glass station, Charlie refers to Mikhail as "Cyclops" after he removes his eye patch. ("Through the Looking Glass")

Trivia

• In "Flashes Before Your Eyes", the close-up of Desmond's eye when he enters his altered timeline is the same shot of his eye (with less saturated colors) that was shown at the beginning of "Man of Science, Man of Faith".
• Track two of the official Lost Soundtrack is called "The Eyeland", a pun based on how the first scene of "Pilot, Part 1" opens on Jack's eye.
