Friday night on InterCHANGE

Here are the topics the panel discusses on InterCHANGE Friday night at 6:30 on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10 with a repeat on Sunday morning at 11:00:

1 – OBAMA / McCAIN.

Will Obama get the expected post convention bump?  Was Biden a good VP pick?  We’ll probably know McCain’s VP pick by show time, so we can talk about that as well?  Do you expect this campaign to get very dirty?  If Doyle got a job in an Obama administration, who would run for governor?

2 – WASTE MANAGEMENT STRIKE.

Was it brilliant negotiating strategy for the Teamsters to walk away from the table and go out on strike just when all the Harley Festival activities were about to get underway?  Was it ridiculous that Waste Management let the situation go on so long that it got to this point?  Does this simply cause folks who hate unions, to hate them even more?  If the garbage starts to pile up, won’t this be absolutely horrible for the image of the Milwaukee area?  Waste Management has 100,000 commercial and 16,000 residential customers in southeastern Wisconsin.  That’s a lot of garbage?

3 -  BREWERS.

The Milwaukee Brewers have already sold more than three million tickets this season, which is an all-time record for the club.  They have had 37 sellouts, including the last 21 consecutive home games.  For the smallest market in the majors, this is pretty impressive.  What has this owner been able to do that the previous ownership team was unable to do?  Do you still think the Brewers have a chance to make it to the World Series?  Could the Brewers ever beat the Cubs in a NL playoff series?  After this year, is it back to mediocrity?
